This teaching by Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche is based on The Lamp That Illuminates the Path of Awakening, an original text on the cultivation of bodhicitta composed by Lord Atisha himself. Rinpoche’s teaching includes detailed practical instructions on cultivating aspiration and implementation bodhicitta as well as instructions on intensifying bodhicitta through training in moral discipline, meditative absorption and discernment or wisdom. Rinpoche also comments on the importance and value of the Bodhisattva Vow as the means to further connect wit hbodhicitta. Translated by Lama Yeshe Gyamtso. Four talks.

  • Mainly English Edition: Because Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche spoke for long periods of time in Tibetan, his long monologues have been curtailed so that the continuity of the English translation of these teachings would not be broken.
