Thrangu Rinpoche begins these teachings with instructions on preparing for death by practicing dharma during the bardo of this life. He goes on to provide profound instruction on the approach of death, spiritual care for those who are dying, the characteristics of dissolution, practice during dissolution, practice at the time of death, and Powa practice. He gives instructions on the short Shitro practice and teaches extensively about the intervals or bardos of Dharmata and Becoming. In the public talk that precedes these teachings, Rinpoche teaches on bodhicitta, the four immeasurables, and karma. Several talks end with extensive question and answer sessions. Translation by Lama Yeshe Gyamtso. 14 talks. These DVDs have Chapter Points.

  • On this DVD recording, chapter points have been set at each transition from Tibetan to English and from English to Tibetan. Because Rinpoche sometimes speaks in Tibetan for long periods at a time, some viewers may wish to jump forward to the English translation (at any time) by using the Next Chapter button (>>|) on their DVD player’s remote control. Also, for those who primarily speak Tibetan, the same process works for jumping from the English to the Tibetan.
