Description
In 1998, Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche visited Hartford KTC. During this visit he gave this public talk on engendering the attitude of loving kindness and compassion at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. The audience, which included many individuals with no previous exposure to Buddhism, was deeply moved by Rinpoche’s clarity and wisdom. This talk is highly recommended. Translated by Lama Yeshe Gyamtso. One talk. This CD recording is in the "Mainly English" format.

- Because Khenpo Karthar often speaks for long periods of time in Tibetan when he teaches, his long monologues have been curtailed on this CD recording (audio) to preserve the continuity of the teaching and make listening easier. Thus the voice heard for the majority of the time is that of the translator. DVD video recordings include all of the Tibetan. However, because there are no DVD recordings of Bodhicitta, Engendering Loving Kindness and Compassion, the complete unedited recordings of that teaching currently exist only in the Vajra Echoes archives.
