Description
Rinpoche begins the weekend with a public talk on the preciousness of having a genuine spiritual teacher and guide. It is through the guidance of this kind and compassionate spiritual friend that we are able to traverse the ground, path and fruition towards attaining supreme awakening. Rinpoche offers advice on what to look for in the qualities of a teacher, how to relate to one and be a genuine student, and the importance of cultivating devotion. The remaining four sessions of the weekend are devoted to understanding the need for the two accumulations of Merit and Wisdom. Emptiness and luminosity, the twofold purity of Buddhahood, are inherent within all of us. They do not need to be sought elsewhere because they reside within us in their entirety. But if we do not remove the obstacles that obscure their presence, these qualities will not become manifest. It is through the accumulation of merit and wisdom with pure motivation that assists us in driving away the clouds that hide our true nature. Five talks on three DVDs.
