Description
Sukhavati (Dewa-chen in Tibetan) is the pure realm of Amitabha, a realm in which spiritual progress is greatly facilitated. To aspire to be reborn there after one’s death is regarded as extremely beneficial. Teaching from the Dewa-chen prayer by Karma Chagme, Thrangu Rinpoche explains at length how to practice the four main causes for rebirth in Sukhavati. Rinpoche also provides metaphors for the qualities of Sukhavati, comparing the resources for study and practice to being at a great university and the pleasantness and comfort of the place to a tropical climate. Translated by Peter Roberts. Four talks.

- Chapter Pointing
On this DVD recording, chapter points have been set at each transition from Tibetan to English and from English to Tibetan. Because Rinpoche sometimes speaks in Tibetan for long periods at a time, some viewers may wish to jump forward to the English translation (at any time) by using the Next Chapter button (>>|) on their DVD player’s remote control. Also, for those who primarily speak Tibetan, the same process works for jumping from the English to the Tibetan.
